About The Galactic Butterfly (alias Ch'tite Fille)

Céline Hodler moved to Canada from her home-country, France, in 2004. Ever since her arrival, she has been warmly welcomed on the music scene. First on the east Cost in the City of Quebec then on the west coast in Vancouver. While in Quebec city, she enjoyed five wonderful years of vocal and musical collaboration with the choir “Voix Nouv’elles”, which has been an invaluable opportunity to hone her vocal and composition skills.

After her move to the West Coast in 2012, she started investing more time in her own music and wrote her first compositions. In the fall of 2014, she started making herself known on stage by playing in the Open mic network in Vancouver. In January 2015, after 10 years as a practicing musician in Canada, the singer-composer-songwriter created her stage persona Li'l Girl (Ch'tite fille) which, emerged from its chrysalis in 2017, became The Galactic Butterfly.
Since then, it is under this peculiar name and wherever she travels, that she busks in the streets or plays on stage.
In 2020, during the pandemic, she moved back to Europe. There, she plans on promoting her first album "Lullabies and Fairytales" and recording her new songs.

Accompanying herself on guitar, ukulele and piano, she performs her own folk compositions in French and in English, as well as covers of songs by some of her favourite artists: Feist, Jeff Buckley, Tracy Chapman, Eva Cassidy, Daughter, Ben Harper, Boy, Sarah Blasko, Frank Sinatra, Norah Jones, Camille, Georges Brassens, Edith Piaf, Cali, Francis Cabrel, Damien Saez, Renaud (to name a few).
She has a vast repertoire of more than 100 French and English songs to share.
The soft ambiance and soothing atmosphere she creates and her sweet voice ensure that the audience lives delightful musical moments.
D’origine française, Céline Hodler s’installe au Canada en 2004. Dès son arrivée, la scène musicale de la ville de Québec l’accueille chaleureusement et lui offre 5 merveilleuses années de collaboration vocale et musicale avec la chorale « Voix Nouv’elles ». Cette expérience lui permet de perfectionner sa voix.
Après son déménagement sur la côte Ouest du Canada en 2012, Celine se consacre plus activement à la musique et à l'écriture de ses propres compositions. C’est à l’automne 2014 que Vancouver découvre pour la première fois son talent lors d’une soirée micro ouvert. En janvier 2015, après 10 ans de pratique musicale au Canada, l’auteure compositrice interprète crée son alter-ego scénique Ch’tite fille qui, sorti de sa chrysalide en 2017, devient "The Galactic Butterfly".
Désormais, c'est sous ce nom saugrenu (inspiré de son roman favori) qu'elle se produit sur la scène et dans les rues de divers pays, là où ses multiples voyages la mènent.
En 2020, pendant la pandémie, elle retourne vivre en Europe, projetant d'y faire: la promotion de son premier album "Lullabies and Fairytales" et l'enregistrement des suivants.
